Easter often heralds the start of spring. So, it’s the perfect time to embrace cheerful colors and lighter layers. These Easter outfits will work, no matter what you have planned for the upcoming holiday weekend.
In this article, you will find both casual and dressier Easter outfits, so you should find inspiration whether you are taking part in an Easter egg hunt with your family, you’re heading for a quick weekend break, or you’re going for brunch with loved ones and friends.
I’d love to hear about your Easter plans and what you will be wearing. You can let me know in the comments at the bottom of the article.
How to choose Easter outfits to suit the occasion
Of course, there are so many different ways you could be spending the Easter holiday. Here are just a few things you might want to think about when putting together your outfits:
Indoors, outdoors or both?
Often Easter outfits need to do double duty. You might, for example, be outside hunting for Easter eggs before heading in for a more formal brunch. So, you need to make sure you are both comfortable AND stylish, and that your outfit features layers to deal with different temperatures.
Adding some color
Most of you will be heading into spring. So, it’s the ideal time to think about choosing some sunny colors or some pretty pastels as part of your Easter outfit.
Laura (above) shows how a simple jeans and white top outfit can be made ultra stylish with the addition of a colorful striped, long cardigan and matching sneakers.

Are you going on a short break?
As it’s a long weekend, it could provide the opportunity to take a short vacation. If you’re lucky enough to be heading for a little break, putting together a little capsule wardrobe will ensure all of your clothes go with each other while you’re away.
Keep reading and you’ll see I’ve put together a capsule wardrobe with tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes and accessories for Easter.
A dress could be perfect for church or a family occasion
If you have a more formal event to attend, a dress could be perfect. Choose one in a paler shade to reflect the spring season.
Below, you will find a capsule wardrobe for Easter, which you can either use for inspiration if you are going on vacation. Or, you can simply choose your favorite outfit to suit the occasion.
I always associate Easter with the time that daffodils bloom, so I’ve been inspired by their sunny yellow shade, along with some monochrome for my Easter capsule.
Melinda (above) looks beautiful in a yellow printed dress and sandals. Depending on the weather where you are, you could wear a dress like this with leggings and booties and a moto jacket if it’s too cool for bare legs.

While I’ve been drawn to paler colors for this Easter capsule, I’ve also included a black dress (below) as I love the asymmetric hem detail, and thought it would look fabulous with a pair of yellow sandals.
